Life is often compared to a game of chess, and rightfully so. Each move we make, every decision we take, brings us a step closer to either victory or defeat. It's a strategic game that requires planning and patience, much like life itself. As they say,
'Play the board, not the man'
In life too, we must pay attention to the bigger picture and not get caught up in the small details. This philosophy is particularly evident when it comes to the balance between public and private in our lives.
The key to a happy life is knowing when to reveal and when to conceal. Buying land and building a house secretly may seem like a strange idea, but it's surprisingly akin to playing a game of chess. Keeping your moves under wraps allows you to make shrewd and calculated decisions, without letting others influence your course of action. But, it doesn't mean that we should hide everything from the world. Just like hosting a house party for your loved ones after keeping it a secret is a way of sharing your joy with others.
In the game of chess, we only say 'checkmate' to announce our victory, not our moves. Similarly, in life, it's important to act in silence and let our achievements speak for themselves. The less we speak, the more we do. And when it comes to our intentions, it's best to keep them to ourselves. Sometimes, sharing our plans with others can invite unnecessary opinions and criticisms, which may hinder our progress. Ultimately, just like in chess, we must find the right balance between public and private in our lives to emerge as winners.
My favourite from this - ‘ The less we speak, the more we do’ which I truly believe.
